A graduate of the Academy of Arts from 1800 Received medals: 1808 2 and 1809 - 1 silver; 1811 - 2 gold for the painting "old Man and the boy in any activity"; 1812 - 1 gold for the program "Recruit, saying goodbye to his family". In 1817 he entered the Academy as a teacher of drawing; in 1848 the title of academician. In 1859, he was appointed adjunct Professor. (Kondakov)
