1947-1950 - art College (former.Tavricheskoye), faculty of scenography (Leningrad)

1951-1957 - the Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture.And.E.Repin Academy of arts, faculty of painting (Leningrad)

1957-2000 - lecturer at the Belarusian state theatre and art Institute (now Belarusian state Academy of arts) and artistic Lyceum (Minsk)

Since 1957 - member of the artists Union of the USSR (SKHB); was twice elected Chairman of the Union of artists of Belarus

From the middle.1950s - the participant of Republican, all-Union and foreign exhibitions

1960-1980 - the creation of a number of monumental works in Minsk, Svetlogorsk, Miskhor, Potsdam (GDR)

1981 - the title of Honored art worker of Belarus

1988 - the title of people's artist of Belarus

1988-1989 - Chairman of the Commission of the Union of artists of Belarus on the aesthetic education of youth; the national center of aesthetic education of youth

1989-1991 - Deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, Chairman of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on culture; developed the Law on culture, which was adopted by the Supreme Council of Belarus

Awarded Honorary diplomas of the Supreme Soviet of Belarus and Russia, order of the badge of Honor, medals.

Honorary citizen of the city of Trenton (new Jersey, USA).
