A representative of eclecticism and art Nouveau. Built a lot of houses, hospitals, baths, etc. (there are at least 80 buildings). Shaped Pushkin street, building on it in the years 1874-1878 10 houses linked by a single tone. His most famous building – the house of the singer company building (Dom knigi), which is one of the brightest examples of St. Petersburg art Nouveau.

Suzor was one of the originators of the society "Old Petersburg", hosted at the apartment of the first exhibition devoted to the architectural monuments of the city.

An auditor student at the Academy of fine arts since 1860, Received a silver medal in 1864 – 2 for "building project of the World Congress"; in 1866 – 1 for the program: "the project of the house for placing in it of a girls 'school for 600 girls coming". 1866 – the title of class artist of 3 degrees. In 1867, the title of class artist of 2 degrees for "draft trade masonry location on the banks of navigable rivers". In 1872 the title of class artist of 1 degree for the "project of the people's baths". In 1892, the title of academician. Since 1911, honorary member of the Academy of arts. Chairman of the Board of the St. Petersburg Society of architects-artists.
