A foreign student of the Academy of Arts from 1827 to 1830, he Received medals: in 1828 - 2 silver; in 1830 - 1 silver and 2 gold for the program "Alexander the great during his illness is an extraordinary confidence in his physician Philip, to whom got the news that this wants to poison him...". In 1833 the title of a free artist; in 1842 recognized as "designated"; in 1845, the title of academician for the portrait of count Paskevich; from 1839 Director of the Warsaw art school. (Kondakov)
