Engraver cutter, the son of a priest, born in the Ukraine and 1741 17 years he came to Petersburg and enrolled in drawing classes at the Academy of Sciences. In 1760 he submitted to the President of the Academy of Arts Igor Shuvalov following request: "I niepodlegosci through habit has learned to draw and cut on copper, then, by the help of some benefactors, sought the case to come to Sanktpeterburg, last 759 years he studied drawing at the art Academy of Sciences, on the Costa. This petition is the only document that preserved some biographical information about the early life of S. the Petition was granted, and S. was enrolled and engraving class Chemesov. Srebr."); 5) "the Daughter feeds the father's breast" — the Board tries. in Acad. hood.; 6) "Relaxed" (below the inscription: "His Lordship... vysokogorskomu P. V. Sheremetev... from Graviora G. Srebr... podlin. G. Grease... in SPb. 1770") — in the sheet, one of the least successful things; 7) "the Holy Evangelist Matthew" Board in the Kiev-Pechersk printing; 8) three allegorical female figures, dancing around the palm tree on which is placed the monogram of Catherine II; finally, a series of vignettes.
