Biography and information

A native of Ekaterinburg, the son of the foreman of the Yekaterinburg gold fields. Studied at GTTI (since 1847) in St. Petersburg, specializing in "artist-medallist", then in the Imperial Academy of arts (1849) in sculpture class at academician A. P. Lalin. Work Kanaeva "Head boy" (1853) and a figure of "Hercules" (1854) was a noted Academic Council silver medals. He graduated from the Imperial Academy of arts, receiving the title of artist in sculpture (1855). Returned to Ekaterinburg. Worked on GASOLINE curator medal office (1856-1871). Produced print for UOLE (1871). He worked as a sculptor on Kaslinsky plant (1871-1880) and taught at the craft factory-art school. Buried in Calah.
