Born in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. From 1971 to 1976 he studied at the Irkutsk art school on a decorative branch from B. T. Bychkov, L. N. Potter, V. G. Smagin, N. Shtanko. CPSU member since 1985 Member of the USSR Union since 1986 Since 1974 works in Irkutsk creative workshops with HF RSFSR.
