Was born in Tashkent. Since 1950 lives in Almaty. In 1971 met with Vladimir Sterligov, a disciple of Malevich, which had a great influence on his work. In 1972 graduated from the Moscow State Architectural Institute. In 1983 leaves the architecture and engaged in painting. Lives and works in Almaty.
