Born in the city of Semenov, Nizhny Novgorod province. Semenov graduated from the school of the art processing of wood (1925-1928) and Semenov technical College of mechanical wood processing (1933).
Artist of applied art ("Khokhloma painting"). Member of the Union of artists of Russia since 1945.
