Biography and information

The painter of portrait painting. Born in 1840, in the French family; in 1857, the Academy of fine Arts Department of painting in class of the original figures and good figures was in April 1858 he was transferred to the class plaster heads. Continuing study of painting, Sharon moved from among the other students of the Academy: presented to them in 1859, the drawings were recognized as very good, and in October of that year he was transferred to the nature class. Until 1864 he worked at the life class, but then the difficult material conditions forced him to leave the Academy and earn their living by portrait painting. In 1870 he submitted to the Academy of Arts of the petition to grant him a certificate to teach drawing, because the drawings were recognized by the Board of the Academy quite satisfactory, the certificate is immediately issued. Working on private orders, M. A. Sharon has written a lot of watercolor portraits; from 1875 he attended Sunday classes of drawing at the Academy, and in 1877 he exhibited at the Academic exhibition of three watercolor portraits for the rank of extra-curricular artist. The portraits of count A. P. Shuvalov, Ms. PAL (full length) and Ms. Sokal has been recognized by the exhibition Committee award-worthy, and on the 31st of October 1877, he received a certificate for the title of class artist with a commitment to switch to Russian citizenship and to withstand the prescribed examination at the Academy. In the last years of his life A. M., Sharon became a well-known Petersburg artist. He died on 27 January 1881. (Cumans)
