Biography and information

Member of the Russian Academy of arts, people's artist of Russia, laureate of the State prize of the USSR, Professor of the Stroganov school of art. Works of the artist are in collections of major Russian and foreign art museums. Among his recent works is the monument to Alexander Pushkin and Natalia Goncharova on Old Arbat street, the Pushkin monument in Washington (incidentally, the first in the US), the Andrei Tarkovsky prize, awarded at the Moscow film festival.
