Born in 1957 in the village of Scheglovskaya the Kemerovo region. He studied at the Kemerovo art school(1972-1976) A. S. Rabotnov, S. N. Aristova at the Leningrad Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture. I. E. Repin (1979-1985), workshop of E. E. Moiseenko. Participant of exhibitions since 1983. Graduated from post – graduate course under the direction of E. E. Moiseenko (1985-1988). He worked as head of Department of the faculty of painting of the Krasnoyarsk art Institute(1988-1989). In 1989 he returned to the village Shcheglovsky. Member of the Union of artists of Russia since 1991. In 1984 he visited Hungary, in 1993 Italy.
