Biography and information
The French sculptor. Arrived in Russia under the Empress Elizabeth Petrovna. In 1762, was recognized as a "foreign Member of the Academy of Arts" for "Urns with different colors, made akbaraliev on wax". in 1765 he received the title of academician of ornamental sculpture, "a wax model of a vase with flowers, which sit on the insects"; Rolland also engaged in teaching sculpture in the ornamental class of the Academy of Arts from 1766 to 1769.
