He graduated from the Moscow State art Institute.In.And.Surikov in 1976 (workshop L. E. Kerbel)

The member of artists Union since 1980, was Repeatedly elected Chairman of the Leningrad Union of artists.

Participant of city, regional, zonal, regional, Republican, all-Union, all-Ukrainian and foreign art exhibitions.

Awards: winner of the Regional prize of the Komsomol them.In.Skorokhodov (1982), winner of the Czech-Soviet competition of young artists (1983), winner of the Academy of Arts of Russia, the monument "the Internationale" (Copper pipes) in the city of Lipetsk (1988), honorary title "Honored artist of Russia" (1996), medal "For merits in front of Lipetsk" (2005), Silver medal of the Russian Academy of arts (2006), the honorary title "people's artist of Russia" (2006)

The works of the sculptor are stored in the Lipetsk regional art gallery, the State Tretyakov gallery, the Directorate of exhibitions, Ministry of culture of the RSFSR, the Museum – workshop of people's artist of Russia V. S. Sorokin, "Home Master", Lipetsk regional Museum of local lore, Lev-Tolstovskiy art gallery.
