From 1918 to 1924 he studied at the Taganrog art school A. M. Leontovsky, and S. I. blonskii. Before the great Patriotic war he worked as a ceramist at the factory of ceramic products. From 1943 to 1947 worked in partnership "Artist". From 1947 to 1967 he taught at the art Studio of Rostov Palace of pioneers in urban schools. Participated in city exhibitions since 1947. Gave private lessons in drawing and painting.
Died V. Y. Grigoriev, 25 Mar 2000 in Taganrog. Buried in old city cemetery (Nicholas crossing).
