He studied at the Mosk. University (1915-17) and then at VKhUTEMAS. Worked in animated films. Director cartoon.-f. "Quartet" (1935, with A. Ivanov), "the Tale of Emelya" (1938), the Vultures (1941), "Hunting rifle" (1948), "Fox-Builder" (1950), etc.
