(FR. Paul Ranson, March 29, 1864, Limoges, on 20 February 1909, Paris) was a French painter, member of art group "Nabi"
. In the workshop Ranson hosted meetings of the group, he suggested a name for it and then jokingly came up with nicknames for all its members. The Ranson called "Nabi Japanese than the Japanese Nabi".
