The artist Pavel Mikhailov participated in two round the world voyages under the command of Thaddeus Bellingshausen in the sloop "East" in 1819-1821. and under the command of Michael stanyukovicha on the sloop "Mueller" in 1826-1829 as a result, he has traveled the world, painted Russian America, Hawaii, Tahiti, participated in the opening of dozens of Islands, coral reef and Antarctica.
