Taras Usik. Painting and graphics

In the Transcarpathian Museum of Architecture and Life passespersonal exhibition of Taras Usik - the second generation artist, son of the famous Transcarpathian painter Stepan Usik. The exposition includes 50 new canvases of the author, who says that he draws inspiration in his native city.

The artist calls his style “orderly abstraction”. His compositions are saturated with color, sometimes violently rhythmic, but not aggressive, they are warm and melodic. Emotionality, expression, vivid feelings - this is an echo of impressions from the real world, transferred by the artist to his paintings.

Taras Usik was born in 1958 in Uzhgorod. In 1982 he graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the Kiev Institute of Civil Engineering. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1995. The participant of many art exhibitions in Ukraine, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Italy. He organized several personal exhibitions in his native Uzhgorod and abroad.
