Exhibition September 26, 2019 − January 13, 2020
State Historical Museum (GMI) holds an exhibition"Betrayed without flattery." On the 250th birthday of Count A. A. Arakcheev.

All exhibits displayed at the exhibition are kept in the collection of the State Historical Museum, but for the first time they are gathered together: valuable artistic and documentary evidence of state activity and the private life of Count Arakcheev.

Aleksei Andreevich Arakcheev is a favorite of emperors Paul I and Alexander I, an iconic figure in Russian history and one of its most mythologized characters. The exhibits presented at the exhibition provide an opportunity to touch the era and get acquainted with the personality of Arakcheev through genuine documents and things of that time.
