Dayton Art Institute presents an exhibition"From Picasso to Hockney: Contemporary Art on the Stage".

This revolutionary exhibition tells what happened when famous painters and sculptors turned their attention to the stage and began collaborating with writers, musicians and dancers. The exhibition features works by the most famous artists of the 20th century, including Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Fernand Léger, Natalia Goncharova, Joan Miró, Louise Nevelson, Robert Indiana, Jim Dine, David Hockney and many others.

The exhibition features over 115 paintings, set pieces and costumes, and offers a fresh perspective on artists and movements, from Cubism and Constructivism to Surrealism and Pop Art; provides a rare opportunity to discover more than 100 years of original design performances by renowned artists who have shown their creativity on stage.
