Born in 1932 in the city of Arkhangelsk. Honored artist of Russia (1995), laureate of Nizhny Novgorod award (2001), holder of honorary diplomas of the Ministry of culture of the Russian Federation (2002), member of the Union of artists of Russian Federation. Graduated from Gorky art College in 1953. In 1959 he graduated from the painting Department of the Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture. I. E. Repin Academy of arts , pupil of E. E. Moiseenko.

Participant of all-Union, regional, regional exhibitions since 1958, participated in all the exhibitions "Great Volga", 1964, member of the panels of the Nizhny Novgorod artists in the cities and republics of the former USSR. Solo exhibitions: 1982 (N. Novgorod, Central exhibition hall), 2002 (Nizhny Novgorod state art Museum). Executive Secretary of the Nizhny Novgorod organization CX RF 1979 – 1980, Chairman of the Nizhny Novgorod organization CX RF 1981 – 1997.
