Biography and information

In the development of professional painting in Perm should be highlighted a little-known Athanasius U. Orlov (1823-after 1861); the pupil of the Arzamas school, he became the teacher of many of the Perm artists, including those who ended education at the Academy (V. P. and p. P. Vereshchagin, A. S. Shanin). At the end of the apparently short life of eagles he graduated from the Academy, and in 1859 he received the title of class artist of portraiture.
