He was born in 1926.

He studied at the Odessa art College named after M. B. Grekov (1941-1947) a famous Odessa artists-teachers of P. S. Conestogo, E. Bukovetsky, L. O. and E. Muchnik. Graduated from the Leningrad Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture Repin (1947-1953) (workshop of Professor R. Frentz specialised in battle painting).

Worked in Stalingrad, Odessa. Since 1958 to this day teaches at the Odessa art school, he headed the Department of fine arts art-graphic faculty of the Odessa state pedagogical Institute named after K. D. Ushinsky (1966-1972).

Participated in exhibitions in Ukraine and Russia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, Italy, USA, Finland, France, Yugoslavia, Japan. Works are in several Museum collections and private collections of many countries of the world.
