Genealogy of Arts, or History of Art by the Methods of Fine Art

Exhibition February 27 − August 31, 2020
Picasso Museum resumed work large-scale exhibition"Genealogy of Arts, or History of Art by the Methods of Fine Art ".

The exhibition combines the work of more than 250 artists, authors of various genres and directions of fine art. The exposition contains the works of Pablo Picasso, Konstantin Brancusi, Paul Cezanne, Robert Delaunay, Max Ernst, Alberto Giacometti, Juan Gris, Vasily Kandinsky, Fernand Leger, El Lissitzky, Casimir Malevich, Franz Marc, Henri Matisse, Pete Mondrian, Georges Georges Marriage and others.

The exhibition uses visual narratives about the history of art, in contrast to the academic method of presenting the topic using long and often difficult to read texts. The history of art has always been built on words, terms, arguments, "abstract" narration. The exhibition “Genealogy of Arts” makes the science of art history visual with the help of visual means - the images of works of art themselves.
