VALENTIN POMELOV (1939 - 1999)

Born March 7, 1939 in Donetsk
After graduating from school, he worked at the Donetsk Opera Theater as an assistant decorator
1959 - entered the Odessa Art School named after M.B.Grekov, department of painting
1963 - transferred to the Rostov Art School named after M.B.Grekov. M.B. Grekov, department of painting
1964 - entered the Moscow Higher Art-Industrial School (former Stroganov College) at the department of monumental and decorative painting
In 1969 he graduated with honors from the Moscow Art College (formerly Stroganov College) workshop of Professor V.K.Zamkov
From 1969 to 1973 he worked on assignment as an artist at the Institute of High Energy Physics, Protvino
From 1973 to 1991 he worked in the Moscow Regional Art Fund (Podolsk Art and Production Workshop) as a muralist artist
1971 and 1973 trips to the creative dacha of the Union of Artists "Goryachiy Klyuch", Goryachiy Klyuch, Krasnodar region

All the following years he was mainly engaged in easel painting. In his work there are landscapes, still lifes, compositions, but the main thing is a portrait. The artist created a gallery of portraits of his contemporaries.

2005 - Awarded with the Moscow Region Governor's sign "Thank You"
2009 - Grand Prix of the open literary and art contest "Protvino - our favorite town" for a series of works about the town of Protvino
2013 - The family of artists Pomelovs became one of the winners in the nomination "Artists of the Moscow region about the family" of the regional contest of creative families, taking 3rd place
