The Accademia Gallery

Campo della Carità, 1050, Venezia
The Gallery (Museum) of the Academy is an art museum that houses the largest collection of Venetian painting of the XIV-XVIII centuries.
The history of the museum dates back to 1750, when the Senate, heeding the advice of Piazzetta, established the Venice Academy of Fine Arts (Italian: L'Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia) - a school of painting, sculpture and architecture.
