National Art Gallery of Bulgaria presents the exhibition "
Attractive and casual. Woman in the works of European graphic artists of the 19th and 20th centuries".
By the end of the 19th century, several generations of artists have already addressed the topic of women in a new way and with the help of new means. Time has created the prerequisites for the iconic image of female nature in art.
The exhibition features such famous masters as Francisco Goya, Eugene Carrier, Auguste Rodin, Henri Fantin-Latour, Auguste Renoir, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Pierre Bonnard, Leonard Fujita, Moses Kisling, George Vereisky, Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Mark Chagall, Andre Derain, Raoul Dufy, Fernand Leger, Georges Rouault, Marcel Gromer, Marino Marini and others.
Their work reveals a variety in the description of the subject and form, regardless of how strange or even outrageous this may have seemed to many of their contemporaries.
